DC TWO

August 2020 - July 2022

I joined DC TWO before they expanded and launched on the Australian Stock Exchange. Initially a small company owned and operated by friends, the company purchased a partially complete data centre based in Bibra Lake, Western Australia and then listed on the ASX.

I initially started as a part time employee, creating social media content and news articles on their website alongside the marketing and design department. I was moved into the role of Project Coordinator when I moved into a full time role, and helped DC TWO reach several key milestones including the launch and operation of their data centre.

Key notes:

  • Wrote multiple news articles and promotional articles for publication via the DC TWO website and EDM blasts
  • Created photographs and videos for social media and internal business usage
  • Reverse engineered the incomplete Gallagher security system at the Bibra Lake premises, designed and rolled out a completed, functional BMS
  • Responsible for day to day monitoring and operation of the Gallagher system
  • Worked with fire service agents to implement and commission a fire detection and suppression system throughout the office building and in the data centre
  • Assisted with the initial build and connection of the data centre, ensuring reliable internet connectivity
  • Designed and implemented an IP based camera security system
  • Responsible for the transport, configuration and installation of Bitcoin mining systems
  • Assisted the IT Support team with Helpdesk duties when needed
  • Provided assistance and valued feedback to the directors and GM on the issues in the original configuration and design of the data centre

My role as Project Coordinator was eventually made redundant due to an internal structure change. This job provided me with some of the biggest challenges of my working career, and allowed me to meet goals that I remain very proud of.
